Question by Love God. Love People.: What happens if you have your breast removed due to breast cancer?
I was just wondering.. don’t know why.

1. Does this completely cure the cancer? Or do you still have radiation and chemo?
2. Would they remove both breasts so that it doesn’t look awkward?
3. In what situations do these procedures occur? (Very serious or any type?)

1. Sometimes it completely cures it and sometimes you also need chemo and radiation.
2. No. You either get reconstruction surgery or wear something in your bra.
3. When the person has breast cancer.

They are alittle pricey though..

I am in school for graphic design and I need to do a project in which I create a new organization that helps fight against breast cancer. For a start I have to find a name. I thought I would take the name of a goddess who symbolized women, help, hope, faith, protection, fight ….
If you have any ideas, they do not have to even be the name of the goddess, please answer the question that would help me a lot.

hmm..
well artemis (diana) might be a good choice. shes a great symbol of strength and femininity. elpis is a greek god of hope. hera (juno) would be good too because she represented a woman’s cycle in growth and she was an extremely formidable female force (being the only other god zeus feared).

how is preventing other companies/individuals from looking at the genes and testing for them going to help the progression to finding a cure? does this mean ‘myriad genetics’ can sue people for testing for breast cancer? i don’t understand how a patent can be placed on something that is in nature. i thought you had to create something in order to patent it.

As you know October is breast cancer awareness month I know Titus O Neil is supporting the cause but any other superstars? I noticed Dolph Zigger wearing a pink bracelett on smackdown I never see anything wwe promoting breast cancer.

I had breast cancer 6 years ago and am estrogen positive. which pill can I take? I am 49 and pre menepausal. my GP prescribed micronor, but it says on the pack not to take if I have had breast cancer. Has any one else had this problem?

Generally, if you’ve had breast cancer in the past you wouldn’t be prescribed any kind of hormonal contraceptive. Micronor is a progesterone only mini-pill, so it doesn’t contain oestrogen, but do you know the progesterone receptor status of your breast cancer?

I’d advise you NOT to take any kind of hormonal contraceptive and to stick to barrier methods of contraception such as condoms. Speak to your GP again and explain your concerns, but unless you know that your breast cancer was progesterone receptor negative, I wouldn’t take any hormones.

the wire should definitely be an alpha emitter as alpha radiation is perfectly suitable for such procedure as it has very little but powerful ionization power its range is usually in mm

they have walks because people sponsor other people to walk. for how many miles or whatever that they walk, a certain amount of money is donated to the organization that supports breast cancer.
